  • Overview

    The Vice President of Operations will lead a team of mangers responsible for overseeing multiple Operations divisions. These divisions include a 24x7 security operations center, as well as computer emergency response, vulnerability assessment, application development, engineering, data intelligence, and cyber intelligence teams.

    In addition, this role is responsible for providing remote leadership and direction to CIS staff on the Department of Homeland Security’s national watch floor, the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) in Arlington, Virginia.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide executive leadership and oversight to multiple operations divisions including a 24x7 security operations center, computer emergency response team, vulnerability assessment, application development, engineering, data intelligence, and cyber intelligence teams
    • Work closely with Operations Senior Management, playing a key role in technical, cross functional projects
    • Develop trusted relationships with the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) and Elections Infrastructure Sharing and Analysis Center (EI-ISAC) members as well as federal and private sector partners
    • Keep abreast of the cyber threat landscape and technology in order to enhance existing and develop new products and services
    • Responsible for helping to develop operational budgets and adhering to budgetary requirements
    • Present at national and statewide conferences on behalf of the MS-ISAC
    • Maintain current knowledge on information related to technology standards and compliance regulations
    • Make recommendations to the Senior VP of Operations as to the MS-ISAC’s strategic direction, development and future growth
    • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

    What You'll Need

    Must Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field*
    • Technical expertise in a broad range of areas including SOC operations, incident response, as well as threat and vulnerability management
    • 10+ years’ experience in mission-oriented leadership/management roles leading, managing, coaching, and/or mentoring individuals and/or teams
    • Substantial working knowledge of cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
    • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States

    *Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

    It's a Plus if You Have:

    • Master’s degree in computer science, information assurance, or related field
    • 7+ years’ experience with project management and coordination
    • Industry related certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.
    • Non-profit experience
