  • Overview

    We are in search of an Account Manager who is passionate about making a difference in the realm of Cyber Security for State, Local, Tribal and Territorial governments (SLTT). The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting their team as we interface with both elected officials and technical staff to explain the concepts and services that can protect their technology. While a cybersecurity background is preferred, the ability to learn complex concepts and translate them to a varied audience is essential. As a member of our Stakeholder Engagement team, the Account Management Specialist will work with various constituencies to help support and advance the mission of “confidence in a connected world”.

    What You'll Do

    • Perform outreach to SLTTs to encourage participation in CIS programs
    • Perform research and analysis to verify potential new members
    • Responsible for the member creation process and proper classification of members for DHS reporting
    • Record, track and report on member prospects and qualified leads to the team and management
    • Provide timely, individualized customer service and support in the use of CIS Programs, tools and portals to members and partners
    • Scheduling member meetings, teleconferences, etc. and providing minutes/notes from such events to the team
    • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

    What You'll Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or a related field*
    • 1+ year of work experience in customer or technical sales support
    • Ability to accommodate mission-based overnight travel as necessary. Approximately 25% travel is required
    • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States

    *Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

     

    It's a Plus if You Have:

    • Concentration in Cybersecurity or technology or industry recognized certifications are a plus (ex: CISSP, GIAC)
    • Experience working in a technology/software company or supporting technical products/customers
    • Excel proficiency
    • Salesforce CRM software experience
