  • Overview

    The Cloud Systems Architect will be responsible for leading and architecting major Cloud projects that have high impact while maintaining minimal down time. The Cloud Systems Architect will ensure the security and configuration of our enterprise devices meet all required CIS standards, best practices, and approved levels of compliance.

    What You'll Do

    • Full life-cycle systems engineering: design, configuration, implementation, and management
    • Maintain and architect all Cloud infrastructure and on-premise infrastructure and ensure each infrastructure adheres to foundational best practices and compliance standards
    • Automate and script systems and cloud infrastructure
    • Architect and implement Cloud-based solutions
    • Prevent, detect, and resolve security threats to the organization
    • Identify and drive improvements in infrastructure and system reliability, performance, monitoring and overall stability of CIS systems
    • Participate in periodic on-call rotation
    • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

    What You'll Need

    • 4+ years' experience as a Systems Engineer
    • 2+ years' managing VMware vCenter environment
    • 3+ years' of professional Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience with AWS, AWS Services and Tools (VPCs, Trusted Advisor, Load Balancers, S3 Buckets)
    • Experience working in a hybrid Cloud environment
    • Experience in writing in one or more programming languages (Python, shell scripts, etc.)
    • In-depth knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server operating Systems
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States

    It's a Plus if You Have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent work experience
    • Project management and demonstrable troubleshooting and debugging ability
    • AWS or other Cloud based certifications
    • Experience working with Security Best Practices (CIS, DISA, PCI)
    • Experience working with Security Auditing tools (Nessus, Cloudcheckr)
