Marketing Content Team Manager

The Content Marketing Team Manager will play a pivotal role in managing a team to execute email marketing, marketing automation, and content creation and publication. This role will integrate tightly with Communications and require a focus on strategy, communication, project management, and integrating with teams across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of direct reports to plan and execute activities related to written content creation, email marketing, marketing automation, video, and maintaining the company website
  • Support the development and execution of the overall CIS marketing strategy by identifying new opportunities and staying up to date on market trends
  • Work in tandem with Communications to jointly align content strategies, messaging, and communications strategy
  • Own the marketing automation strategy
  • Manage the creation of on-message email content that delivers results – from one-time blasts to ongoing nurture campaigns
  • Drive awareness, traffic, and engagement with content and SEO supporting the Marketing and Communications strategy, that includes blogs, white papers, case studies, and video
  • Manage Marketing content and content creation workflows in the content development and marketing platform and publication of content on website publishing and content management system
  • Measure the results of marketing activity to inform future marketing campaigns and collaborate in preparing monthly marketing reports
  • Jointly manage relationships with third party vendors that may include content creation, proofreading, video services, and advertising agency
  • Assist leadership with designing an effective budget for the department; monitor and track expenditures
  • Minimal travel to events to provide support as needed may be required
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business discipline
  • 5+ years of email marketing and content creation experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Experience with marketing tools including Pardot and Salesforce
  • Experience with Google Analytics, website publishing and content management systems (e.g. Wordpress), and content marketing platforms (e.g. NewsCred)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with grammar and spelling
  • Strong communication, problem solving, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.


It's a Plus if You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience creating cybersecurity or high-tech content
  • Experience with Agile principles such as lean methodologies, scrum, etc.
  • Experience using Wordress and NewsCred in a marketing capacity
