Director of Sales

The primary purpose of this position is to meet our SecureSuite new member acquisition and revenue growth objectives; oversee the daily operations of all areas of new CIS SecureSuite Membership, develop key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Duties will include hitting annual targets and team member development and coaching.

What You'll Do

  • Own and hit / exceed monthly sales targets
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand membership base
  • Supervise, mentor and coach sales team members
  • Research, identify and implement new methods to increase CIS membership and revenue in SecureSuite
  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing and Security Best Practice teams on various projects (website, collateral, ads, videos, technical roadmap, prospect feedback, CRM, marketing platform, etc.) to strengthen the sales pipeline and maximize sales promotions
  • Represent CIS in a general capacity and present at conferences as necessary
  • Work closely with Senior Directors of Sales & Operations to develop and manage annual SecureSuite new sales budget 
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline*
  • 6+ years of sales experience
  • 3+ years’ sales management experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring sales teams to successful results
  • 3+ years of complex project or program management experience
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions with proven ability to meet sales targets in a competitive landscape
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position appropriately
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with and/or training other colleagues
  • Familiar with and fluent using Salesforce and Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical concepts
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.


It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of business practices and fundamental understanding of project management methodology
  • Strong marketing, business development, and negotiating skills
  • Technical selling experience for IT software or hardware
  • Familiar with Pardot marketing/communications platform
