Overview

The Senior Program Manager position will lead complex and strategic CIS initiatives spanning multiple domains in the organization. The Senior Program Manager will ensure that CIS’ Program Management Office leverages Agile processes and methods in the execution of these strategic initiatives and will be a key agent for driving the maturity of project execution. The candidate will coach project managers in best practices and will directly manage a small team.

What You'll Do

Management & Leadership

  • Lead the improvement of the PMO practice and continuously improve the operation
  • Develop templates, standards and best practices for the PMO and organization-wide project managers
  • Provide coaching to CIS-wide project managers to develop improved project management capabilities
  • Lead a small team of project managers in the improvement of the PMO practice and the execution of mission critical initiatives
  • Lead change management and guide project managers through the process

Strategic Program Management

  • Coordinate internal resources, strategic stakeholders, and third parties/vendor members for the effective execution of PMO and CIS-wide complex projects and programs
  • Develop project and program objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on programs and underlying projects
  • Measure program performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Foresee and minimize program risks and advise resolution tactics
  • Manage relationships among all stakeholders, including members and vendor members and business partners
  • Present progress reports as well as identified problems and solutions to stakeholders and management
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field*
  • 3+ related certifications (or equivalent additional experience/education) such as PMI-PMP, PMIPgMP, PMI-PfMP, ITIL, PMI-SP, PSM-1, Lean Six Sigma Certification (green or above), PSM-1, or similar
  • 15+ years’ experience in facilitation, and program/project management
  • 3+ years’ leadership experience in program/project management function spanning companywide technology programs/projects
  • Proven capabilities in developing strong project management teams
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Experience developing processes and procedures to drive project management maturity
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Strong presentation capabilities
  • Microsoft Project expertise
  • Project Management experience in Cybersecurity field

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
