We are in search of a dynamic Account Management Specialist who is passionate about making a difference in the realm of Cyber Security for State, Local, Tribal and Territorial governments (SLTT). The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting their team as we interface with both elected officials and technical staff to explain the concepts and services that can protect their technology. While a cybersecurity background is preferred, the ability to learn complex concepts and translate them to a varied audience is essential. As a member of our Stakeholder Engagement team, the Account Management Specialist will work with various constituencies to help support and advance the mission of “confidence in a connected world”.

What You'll Do

  • Perform research and analysis to verify potential new members
  • Responsible for the member creation process and proper classification of members for DHS reporting
  • Record, track and report on member prospects and qualified leads to the team and management
  • Provide timely, individualized customer service and support in the use of CIS Programs, tools and portals to members and partners
  • Perform outreach to SLTTs to encourage participation in CIS programs
  • Scheduling member meetings, teleconferences, etc. and providing minutes/notes from such events to the team
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Technology or a related field*
  • 1+ year of work experience in customer or technical sales support
  • Ability to accommodate mission-based overnight travel as necessary; Approximately 5% travel is required
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • The position is open to U.S. citizens and requires a favorably adjudicated DHS Fitness Review for Public Trust Positions**
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Medical Office/Hospital/Healthcare experience 
  • Concentration in Cybersecurity or technology or industry recognized certifications (ex: CISSP, GIAC)
  • Experience working in a technology/software company or supporting technical products/customers
  • Excel proficiency
  • Salesforce CRM software experience

*Additional years of experience can be substituted for the Associate's degree

  • Dishonest Conduct
  • Employment Misconduct
  • Alcohol Abuse
  • Drug Use (illegal drug use or use of a legal drug in a manner that deviates from approved medical direction) Additionally, illegal drug use includes the use of drugs that are illegal for federal purposes despite being legal in select states and countries, such as marijuana.

  • Financial Issues
  • Have not resided in the US for three (3) of the past five (5) years
