The Vice President for the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) Member Engagement is responsible for improving the cybersecurity posture of state, local, tribal and territorial (SLTT) organizations through the development and delivery of a range of products and services. This position is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of initiatives and member engagement programs to increase cybersecurity knowledge and security capabilities of members and their organizations.  The Vice President is responsible for outreach to members to understand needs and customer satisfaction as well as collaborating with a wide set of government, private sector, and academic organizations toward the objective of improving the security of SLTT organizations. The VP of MS-ISAC Member Engagement also serves as Chair of the MS-ISAC Executive Committee. This Vice President position, as a key member of the CIS leadership team, models the CIS Leadership Principles and the CIS organization culture.

What You'll Do

  • Establish and maintain engagement with key executives (CIOs, CISOs, etc.) in state and local organizations, officials at the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other Federal agencies, as well as national SLTT-focused associations and organizations regarding the ongoing efforts of the MS-ISAC
  • As the primary senior-level day-to-day interface to the many MS-ISAC stakeholders, ensure that the CIS MS-ISAC team understands their needs and that the MS-ISAC members know how to take full advantage of MS-ISAC products and services
  • Responsible for Stakeholder Engagement activities within MS-ISAC Member Programs: Services (cybersecurity services, intelligence products, advisories, etc.), Events (monthly calls, webinars, conferences, etc.), and Account Management (customer relationship management)
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of new areas where CIS can have impact on improving SLTT cybersecurity and/or establish relationships toward this goal
  • Develop strategies and oversee implementation of security-related education, training and awareness efforts to MS-ISAC members
  • Develop and manage MS-ISAC annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts and analyze budget and forecasts vs actual variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Engage with other U.S. based ISACs, international allies, and other relevant organizations and to share best practices
  • Be a primary spokesperson for the MS-ISAC including engaging in speaking opportunities on behalf of the MS-ISAC and CIS
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Extensive prior experience in outreach and coordination efforts at an executive level with multiple state and local organizations regarding information technology or cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Public Administration, or related field*
  • 7+ years’ progressive experience in the management of large-scale operations organizations in cybersecurity or stakeholder engagement
  • 3+ years’ experience operating as part of a leadership team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute highly effective operational strategies, organizational innovation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience developing, managing, and analyzing departmental budgets and a solid background in accounting and financial matters
  • Demonstrated experience leading in a complex, multi-stakeholder organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and professional demeanor
  • Exemplary personal and professional integrity
  • The position is open to U.S. citizens and requires a favorably adjudicated DHS Fitness Review for Public Trust Positions**
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Graduate level degree in a related field
  • Non-Profit experience

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
