As Sr. Director of Business Development (BD), you will assist the Vice President in planning and executing the overall business development strategy for CIS’ current and future products and services. You will be able to oversee multiple BD programs and projects, mentor the Business Development team, and play a direct role in working with partners to support the team.

What You'll Do

  • Support the development of the strategic business plan for CIS’ market expansion of existing and new products and services
  • Mentor Business Development team members in negotiations, product developments and partnership management, supporting their initiatives as needed
  • Build, manage and maintain strategic relationships as well as business channels and networks that result in robust sales pipelines and mission focused strategic opportunities
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing deal requirements, evaluating options and working with internal teams to grow existing cloud security business and win new business opportunities.
  • Research and identify emerging trends and market segments, developing and updating market entrance/adoption strategies and locating potential new opportunities
  • Continuously evaluate business models and go-to market strategies, improving our strategies to meet market demands for new and existing products and services
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of our current and future member businesses; including their strategies, markets, risks, business models, personnel and the opportunities they present to CIS
  • Coordinate cross functionally with internal teams to develop new business offerings, products and programs, and evaluating and improving existing programs based on member feedback
  • Assist in identifying and presenting at strategic events/conferences and planning events/conferences that highlight CIS services
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field*
  • 6+ years in client relationship management, business development, or related work
  • 3+ years in leadership roles related to business development and channel management
  • 3+ years’ experience in product development, project management or related field
  • Prior experience with financial management and budget process
  • Proven track record of generating new business
  • Strong working knowledge of contracts and product development and demonstrated ability to oversee development of new products/program areas
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Cybersecurity or Cloud security experience

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
