CIS is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to guide the modernization and evolution of our systems and information infrastructure. This role will be responsible for defining, documenting, and ensuring the faithful implementation of robust and secure architectures that achieve the company’s strategic goals. The Enterprise Architect will also provide guidance and advice for CIS’s business process change efforts, and assist in the development and implementation of processes and systems in support of effective governance of our enterprise information systems.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of architectural artifacts for enterprise, systems, data, and technical architectures
  • Advises leadership regarding systems and business processes evolution leveraging ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ architectures
  • Ensures systems development efforts comply with CIS architectures and standards
  • Serves as the advisor to CIS leadership regarding systems implementation strategy development 
  • Supports the management of programs and projects to ensure fidelity with CIS architectures and implementation of sound management practices and processes

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, business, or related field*
  • 5+ years’ experience in developing, maintaining, and assisting in the implementation of enterprise and systems architectures
  • Proven ability to guide the development, adoption and governance of enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines
  • Experience in serving as an architect to development and business operations organizations as they plan and implement their systems roadmaps
  • Proven ability to partner across complex organizations to deliver enterprise solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture standards, support capabilities, and align with future strategy
  • Extensive experience contributing to the design and development of complex and distributed software projects with a minimum of three years being in a cloud environment (i.e. AWS, Azure)
  • Deep technical understanding of application and data interfaces and use of Application Programming Interfaces
  • Ability to document and communicate system capabilities and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Experience with one or more architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, AIDAF)
  • Ability to engage with vendors and third parties to communicate organizational needs and assess the fitness of products and services for use by the organization

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Master’s Degree in enterprise architecture or related discipline
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of IT Service Management methodologies and frameworks, especially ITIL
  • Experience in information systems audit preparation and response
  • Experience leading and mentoring highly technical teams

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
