As the Senior Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating thoughtful and engaging content that directly contributes to CIS’s growth and position in the cybersecurity industry. We are looking for a great writer with knowledge of SEO best practices, the ability to translate technical jargon into easily digestible content, and a knack for identifying content creation opportunities.
You will produce long and short form content on cybersecurity related topics and the CIS portfolio of offerings. Examples of content include blog posts, emails, case studies, white papers, eBooks, social media posts, video scripts, infographics, ad copy, collateral, and other formats.
This position can be worked remotely and reports to the Content Marketing Manager.
Create content that answer questions and offers solutions to CIS’s target audience
Research and write content for a variety of audiences and user personas, leveraging preapproved CIS messaging and style guide
Support the marketing team and provide content and copy as needed for the website, decks, email, social, and more
Research and follow best practices for on-page SEO, readability, open-rates, and conversion rates
Administer content creation tools and platforms for publishing
Stay current with trends and best practices in the cybersecurity industry to identify relevant topics, fact-check, and analyze sources to generate compelling and contextualized content
Proofread and copy edit for brand voice/tone for both internal and external audiences
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Experience with copywriting related to software, technology, or cybersecurity subject matter
3+ years’ professional experience in business-to-business content creation, editing, and content development
3+ years’ professional experience optimizing content for SEO for web publishing
A solid understanding of product and brand positioning and writing effective marketing content
Ability to write within brand and editorial guidelines, messaging, and positioning for different markets, products, offers, and placements
Ability to proactively suggest creative ideas that keep CIS at the forefront of content marketing strategy
Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines
Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required
