The Security Best Practices team at CIS is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to act as a major technical stakeholder for the health and progress of our product suite of security applications. This role requires a strong computer science background with an emphasis in Java development as well as a DevOps mindset. The Chief Product Officer holds a key leadership position on the CIS Executive team at the Center for Internet Security. The Chief Product Officer is responsible for developing and managing a CIS wide product portfolio consisting of CIS-developed and third party integrated software products and services. The CPO must have a deep understanding of product development methodologies, emerging technologies, industry trends, agile practices, UX/UI design principles, and strong technical insight to make informed decisions. The CPO will analyze market data, conduct financial evaluations, and have a keen sense of market dynamics to make data-driven decisions. The CPO must be an effective leader capable of inspiring and motivating teams, setting a clear vision, fostering collaboration, and empowering team members to achieve their full potential.
