The Social Media Specialist will be the voice of CIS on social media. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring CIS's social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and drive lead generation. The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn (including CIS showcase pages), and Instagram.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a solid understanding of all CIS offerings
  • Develop a social media content plan that is consistent with the CIS brand
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues and internal stakeholders to advise and execute on social media strategies
  • Create, publish, and share content that is consistent, engaging, and meaningful daily (or multiple times per day)
  • Effectively communicate information and ideas in written and visual format
  • Ensure a consistent brand presence, personality, and voice across all adopted social media platforms
  • Communicate with social media followers and respond to queries in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts
  • Suggest recommendations to fine-tune the social strategy for optimal results
  • Coordinate paid social media efforts
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience*
  • 2-5 years' experience managing a professional social media presence, ideally in technology or a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of, and experience managing, social ad campaigns
  • Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram best practices and KPIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side
  • Display knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and how each can be deployed most effectively to meet CIS’s goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required.

It's A Plus If You Have:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or a related field
  • Experience using SproutSocial
  • Familiarity with Canva
  • Maintain a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Skills in Adobe Create Suite

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
