Overview

This position is responsible for effectively managing the sales process for existing customers and prospects. The CIS Services Specialist will provide exceptional service to all prospective and existing customers, representing CIS in a professional and courteous manner.

We lead a global community of IT professionals to continuously evolve these standards and provide products and services to proactively safeguard against emerging threats.

What You'll Do

  • Educate State, Local, Tribal & Territorial (SLTT) entities on the value proposition of CIS Services
  • Coordinate on-boarding process with customers, CIS Operations Support Team and third-party vendors
  • Meet / exceed quota each month
  • Input and manage all sales opportunities in Salesforce ensuring detailed notes, accurate pipeline and data integrity
  • Maintain a solid understanding of CIS Defense in Depth approach to cybersecurity for SLTT’s and be able to explain it lamens terms
  • Work with Distributors and Resellers
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline*
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed customer success and retention goals
  • Ability to resolve client concerns and issues, and communicate advanced concepts
  • Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships with existing customers and channel partners
  • Familiar with and fluent using CRM (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem solving, time management and decision-making skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement and Contracting Requirements
  • Technical selling experience for IT software or hardware
  • Experience in State and Local Government procurement

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
