Customer Success Engineer - Remote

CIS is seeking a highly driven, process/detail-oriented, and collaborative Customer Success Engineer. The primary purpose of this position is to support our US State, Local, Tribal & Territorial (SLTT) customers.  This role will provide technical expertise to enhance the protection of our customers and continually ensure the value of the service is recognized and utilized to maintain our exceptionally high retention rate.

What You'll Do

  • Provide pre-sales engineering support during sales process to prospects on all CIS cybersecurity services
  • Coordinate “office hours” with customers to ensure they understand the value proposition of their CIS cybersecurity services
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell/cross-sell/ additional services
  • Understand customer requirements, and articulate the importance of foundational cybersecurity as the core of all corporate initiatives
  • Deliver professional presentations to members via phone and web technologies
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across our cybersecurity products and services, including coaching internal teams on value propositions
  • Build use case recommendations, case studies, white papers and testimonials to educate prospects on relevant new features
  • Collaborate regularly with Product Development, Engineering, Operations and other technical teams
  • Track contact with all accounts and related support tickets through Salesforce and other internal systems
  • Represent CIS in a general capacity and present at conferences or product meetings as necessary
  • Ensure reporting and communication is frequent and bi-directional
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field*
  • 2+ years of sales engineering experience
  • 2+ years of designing / implementing / supporting networking and security infrastructure
  • Ability to work independently and with the team collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiar with and fluent using a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), preferably Salesforce
  • Experience in conducting technical remote demonstrations to potential clients via WebEx or like applications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Non-profit or work with SLTT agencies is a plus

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
