Overview

CIS (Center for Internet Security) is the trusted guide to confidence in the connected

private-sector entities to security solutions and resources. CIS is an independent, not-
for-profit organization.
 
The Salesforce Manager will support the Sales & Business Services (SBS) team at CIS
to enhance the usage and functionality of Salesforce. This includes working with a
variety of managers and understanding both the business need and the system
functionality. The Manager will serve as SBS’ liaison with the Salesforce IT team, who
handles the development and support components. The ideal candidate will also handle
the documentation and training components for SBS related to Salesforce, Pardot and
DocuSign.

What You'll Do

  • Take lead for SBS on Salesforce platform integrations and new functionality for enhanced automation and/or data management.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with multiple teams, including the IT Salesforce team and Contractors, to meet desired outcomes.
  • Provide training to SBS Salesforce users and create and maintain training/reference materials (documentation/webinars).
  • Engage with SBS Salesforce users to translate business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the data integrations and cross-departmental impacts of requested SBS changes.
  • Oversee the continual grooming of the SBS Salesforce development backlog and prioritization with input from the SBS management team.
  • Support development efforts and verify the final implementation of new products or features, to include pre and post deployment testing.
  • Report to stakeholders on status updates.
  • Participate in a variety of planning and tactical meetings to support SBS Salesforce efforts.
  • Understand the customer/member journey and leverage data within Salesforce to develop actionable insights, create and execute CRM strategies that influence user behaviors and monitor results to drive CRM adoption.
  • Lead, mentor and coach colleagues and direct report(s).
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Business or related field*
  • 5+ years’ Salesforce experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in management/supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate business processes through the use of written
  • documents and diagrams
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if you have:

  • Pardot and/or Docusign experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management software tools
  • Salesforce Certifications
 
*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or
equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
