Overview

The Manager of Engineering Support and Intelligence Programs is responsible for defining, guiding, and executing high-level goals, roadmaps, and projects that drive solutions and improvements to the overall objective of intelligence programs including, but not limited to, the security and information event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), and the threat intelligence platform (TIP). In this role you will use a blend of technical knowledge, software/systems fundamentals, and program management to solve problems and build solutions for highly scaled enterprise needs. You will lead developers and product owners as the domain subject matter expert and will liaise with technical staff, directors, product management and marketing to ensure goals and objectives are met. You will have a strong technical background, understanding of system architecture, and the experience to effectively collaborate across functions and organizations to deliver impact.

Salary Range: $110,500 - $167,300

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute objectives, milestones, and deliverables to achieve strategic goals
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution
  • Manage budget and collaborate with Operations and Security Services (OSS) leadership and Finance to report financial status, forecasts, and performance
  • Provide leadership, vision, and direction for staff within scope
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and communication between Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and other relevant teams
  • Act as the domain subject matter expert, possessing an in-depth understanding of technical aspects
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Effectively communicate status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executive leadership
  • Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact project success or objectives and develop risk mitigation and contingency strategies
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of projects
  • Manage multiple projects and ongoing operational responsibilities while monitoring, summarizing, communicating, and reporting status
  • Ensure initiatives and projects adhere to industry standards, compliance regulations, and security protocols
  • Manage changes to the scope and schedule using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the plan accurate and updated with authorized changes
  • Review detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables using requirement-gathering techniques
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge*
  • 8+ years of project management experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development, and/or building enterprise applications
  • 3+ years leading and directing project task(s)
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of working directly with development teams experience
  • 2+ years demonstrated track record and understanding of Agile including the ability to execute projects, acting as Scrum Master/Lead or an equivalent role
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, and/or TIP platforms
  • Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiating, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring individuals and/or teams
  • Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities and make judgment calls based on objective information when possible
  • Highly organized with a rigorous attention to detail, drive for excellence, and a positive attitude
  • Experience utilizing AWS solutions to enable analytics capabilities
  • The position is open to U.S. citizens and requires a favorably adjudicated DHS Fitness Review for Public Trust Positions**

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, business, or related field
  • 10+ years of project management and progressive experience managing a suite of projects
  • Project Management experience in Cybersecurity field
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in Python, Java, Microsoft C#, SQL and/or other programming language(s)
  • 3+ related project management certifications
  • Good negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

 

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
