CIS is in search of a proven, capable, confident, competent, and dynamic self-starter who is passionate about working collaboratively to achieve meaningful and lasting impacts on the security maturity of State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT) government agencies and entities, including public sector education. This position is within the Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center (EI-ISAC), a division of CIS. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building and supporting relationships within an assigned region of the United States; interfacing with State Chief Information Officers (CIOs), State Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), executive level staff, as well as technical staff and US DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) partners. This position will provide exceptional service to SLTTs while expertly informing on the solutions and services that can protect their technology.

• Cultivate and maintain key relationships with SLTT government election officials and officials responsible for leading and managing cybersecurity and security compliance activities of critical election infrastructure.
• Conduct virtual and in-person presentations to SLTTs in the region.  Be well-versed in all CIS and CISA services, current cyber threats, and local/regional specific initiatives and/or needs to provide the most value to the members.
• Enable efficient and prioritized engagement with CISA election security advisors, state coordinators, and regional representatives to promote joint planning and coordination.  Create mutually beneficial relationships across CIS, Federal partners, and SLTT-focused supporting members and associations and on services, products, and pilots that will help increase the security maturity of SLTT election offices.
• Continuously recognize and improve strategies to increase the reach and influence of the EI-ISAC in your region.  Build relationships that encourage growth of the election communities within the wider SLTT landscape.  Collaborate with the EI-ISAC team in the planning and execution of new ideas.
• Assist in preparing and presenting program results to varied audiences, including senior management and our Federal partners.
• Drive efficient use of customer service tools and software to ensure timely, individualized engagement.
• Travel, up to 35%, for presentations, speaking engagements, customer visits, trade shows, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the above duties*
• 5+ years of work experience in a related field. Election experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience in working with and/or influencing external and internal teams
• Proven ability in building and maintaining successful relationships with varied stakeholders
• Public speaking experience and the ability to learn complex concepts and translate them to various audiences
• Ability to accommodate mission-based overnight travel as necessary, up to 35%
• Proven track record as a team player and multi-dimensional problem solver
• Strong emotional maturity, interpersonal and communication skills, and professional demeanor
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• The position is open to U.S. citizens and requires a favorably adjudicated DHS Fitness Review for Public Trust Positions**

It's a Plus if You Have:

• Concentration in Cybersecurity or technology or industry recognized certifications (ex: CompTIA, GIAC)
• Salesforce CRM software experience
• Strong track record in managing customer service and promoting a positive customer experience
• Project Management experience

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
