Overview

CIS is in search of a proven, capable, confident, competent, and highly motivated individual who is passionate about working collaboratively to achieve meaningful and lasting impacts on the security maturity of U.S State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) government agencies, as well as the broader CIS customer base. The Community Collaboration Manager is part of the Operations and Security Services department, which resides on the Stakeholder Engagement team and reports to the Director of Community Collaboration and Education. The Community Collaboration Manager will have a unique and exciting role building the new Community Program at CIS. This role will encompass working with the Director on community design, process, engagement, and content initiatives. The individual will assist with planning and coordinating communities inside and outside of a community collaboration tool, maintaining systems, programs, and reporting needed for this program to thrive.

Salary Range: $73,900 - $127,400

What You'll Do

  • Serve as an integral part of a new Community Program, developing and implementing community communication strategies and initiatives with a focus on the identified priority sectors
  • Work with community members and leaders to capture content and identify requirements, sharing with stakeholders across CIS. Specifically, driving content to the Training and Education team to inform them of new learning opportunities, training video needs, and curriculum additions
  • Operate cross functionally, capturing multiple voices and needs across CIS to evolve the Community Program and collaboration tool
  • Provide organizational coordination, and administrative and logistical support, including hosting Webex meetings and other events as needed
  • Become an expert on the collaboration tool, assisting heavily in the rollout and evolution of this tool for the communities. Perform the following duties as prescribed:
    • Backend platform knowledge to set up new communities, update resources, and more
    • Assist with access and permission management
    • Monitor and moderate various community spaces
    • Respond to member and customer queries in a timely manner
    • Produce “community conversation” content to help foster active participation and increase engagement in the tool
    • Conduct ongoing analysis and reporting on relevant community metrics
    • Ensure that CIS Customer Experience (CX) goals are given priority
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field*
  • 4+ years’ work experience in community based or communication roles
  • A passion for customer service that results in the ability to gather and support the needs of customers and foster strong relationships
  • Hands on experience publishing to social media and other various platforms, such as community platforms, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Strong project management experience and the ability to manage multiple initiatives while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Energized by the prospect of both working independently and collaboratively, while adhering to sensitive timelines and modeling excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, while always maintaining a professional demeanor
  • The position is open to U.S. citizens and requires a favorably adjudicated DHS Fitness Review for Public Trust Positions**

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Community collaboration tool experience (Bettermode, HiveBrite, Discord, Skool)
  • Community development experience
  • Webex meeting and webinar expertise
  • Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) software experience
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the CIS mission of securing the connected world

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
