****The position of Scrum Master is a fully remote position, allowing the employee to work from any location within the United States.

 

Annual Salary: $127,000

 

Job Duties: The Scrum Master supports organization’s tactical development and delivery teams in adopting an Agile mindset. The Scrum Master guides, educates, and mentors teams about Scrum practices and Agile values, principles, and best practices. The Scrum Master is responsible for motivating and enabling the teams to work collaboratively and efficiently together, maximizing their performance, removing impediments, minimizing distractions, and escalating issues when they emerge.

What You'll Do

  • Mentor team members in Agile practices, values, and principles.
  • Motivate and assist teams to accomplish their product or service delivery goals (which sometimes includes hard deadlines) and project initiatives in the servant leader tradition.
  • Prepare team members to expect and respond to changing or emerging organizational needs and support them when called upon to adjust priorities and/or approaches as circumstances dictate.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings in addition to refinement, planning, and review meetings.
  • Assist Product Owners with story decomposition and help them to prioritize, estimate, and plan work.
  • Create and maintain information radiators and track metrics that inform on the team’s health and performance efficiency.
  • Foster continuous improvement, identify and remove impediments to delivery, and promote sound project management practices.
  • Cultivate positive, team-centric dynamics, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with mid-level and senior managers by providing them with team feedback and suggestions to resolve concerns.
  • Support the creation and delivery of educational classes, workshops, and learning opportunities that teach about Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Respond to staff questions and inquiries regarding Agile and APO services. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Need

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field

Required Experience

  • 5 years’ experience as a Software Developer Engineer (or related).

Additional Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience working as an individual contributor on a scrum team.
  • 5 years' experience working in product development environment building or testing commercial software.
  • Experience as a scrum master for multiple scrum teams.
  • Experience in effective sprint planning.
  • Experience in facilitating quarterly increment planning sessions.
  • Experience with enterprise task management tools (JIRA, Confluence). 

Required Certifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Work Hours: 40 hours per week  

 

Travel Requirement: 10% domestic and international
